Sy Rogers

Went for training session in church this morning with Sy Rogers. It was worth my struggling to go there in the morning, with the bloody taste still in my mouth and a swollen cheek.. haha.. But his teaching was phenomenal. Praise the Lord.

Something he said struck me. Not something new, but it struck me nevertheless.

There is a time for everything..
Ecc 8:6 says "Because for every matter there is a time and judgment, though the misery of man increases greatly". What this verse means is God has His perfect timing for every matter and we got to understand that God's timing may not the most convenient timing for us. God may choose to deal with something in our lives at a time when we thought was the most inappropriate - Such that our 'misery' increases. Yet, having faith means you believe that God knows best, and that He is able to deal with us at the best time so that the best results can happen.

Digging into our past...
Digging into our past is never something that we should do, Pst Sy said. There may be many things still hidden in our past which we have not yet dealt with, even after we become born again Christians. Yet, God may choose not to deal with it at the point of our salvation because He knows we are just not mature enough to handle it yet. God does everything in His own beautiful time. And, if we think we are smarter than God, and tries to dig out every bad and ugly thing from our past to deal with it now, we may turn the tables against ourselves. Why not just leave it to God to bring it to the surface when it's time to do so? And when the time has come, God will make sure you won't miss it because it's going to be right infront of your face!
