Weary? Rise up like eagles!

It is an irony if someone whom God raised to become a helper in the cell group or church, becomes tired and discouraged and then backslides away from God. It was supposed to be a promotion from God, a chance to grow, an opportunity to rise up. Yet, it also became an opportunity for the devil to steal away the faith and love for God.

Many examples, I've seen. And I feel sad whenever I see such things happening. The devil is full of tricks. His best trick is to mutate or deviate something created by God into something which will stumble the people of God. A good example if music and dance. Who says music is evil and of the devil? The fact is God created music and dancing! He created them for His pleasure. Yet, the devil can mutate it such that people are deceived into thinking they are bad things.

When God raises up a person to serve Him in a greater way, there are always challenges. Big or small, they will come from all directions - left, right, centre. The difference between those who can make, and those who can't lies in the attitude and character of the person. God cannot use vessels that are not ready for Him. He will take time to mould us so that we can become the suitable vessel for His purpose. If we go through this process, all's good, and goodness of the Lord will just flow. But if we crack and back off in the middle of it, it's going to be a level that we can never breakthrough. That is why when people back off when they meet something 'too difficult for them', they will find that it will always remain a hindrance in their life. And God will keep bringing them back to the same point, just so that they can cross that hurdle. God doesn't play around with us. He's concerned about our character and He makes sure we 'get it loud & clear from Him'.

Yes, we do get tired and weary serving sometimes. Afterall, ministry is hard work, and we are, at the end of the day, still flesh and blood. Yet the most important thing is to realise and acknowledge that we are weak, but we can be strengthened by the Lord. And we don't want to stay weary for too long, cos there is little time to waste. God has a super great purpose for our lives. Live it to the max we can.

Even if we have many other things we need to do in our lives. Our career, our studies, our family life, our friends... but we are not limited beings who can only do one thing at a time. Surely our capacity is greater than that??! We can handle everything together at the same time, holding them together and still accomplish everything with a spirit of excellence.

So, if you are weary & tired serving God now, no matter where you are, plug back to God again. He is the source of living waters, and those who drink from Him will never thirst again. Get the strength you need, and continue this walk with God. Don't ever think of giving up. It's not worth it. Jesus deserves the best from us.

The paths of Christians are never easy, but God promises that it will shine ever brighter! :) You are a faithful child of God, who serves God so faithfully, so I believe God will not shortchange you. It may be a little tiring now, but hang on. Most important thing is that God sees everything that you do, and He knows what you are going through, dear sis.. :)

well, ultimately everything we do, we do it for God. Nothing to do with what everyone else is doing. Of cos, we are still human beings, and we get discouraged by our co-workers, but focus back on God, cos He is the only reason why we do the things we do. :) We all make mistakes too, cos we are not perfect. But I guess we can all try our best to accept one another and spur each other on to become better..
