A Subtle Influence...

This morning I attended Estee's convocation. It was really a very happy time for everyone of us especially estee and her parents because she received an MOH Gold Medal Award along with her scroll. And as an award recipient, she was asked to go to a tea reception with the Guest of Honor, Minister Ng Eng Hen.

Estee was super busy, running here and there, asked to talk to the Minister, took photos, teachers congratulating her... once in while, she will join us again to say two sentences, and off she goes again, whisked away by some people... haha..

It was fun just watching her. Everyone who knows estee will know that she is a very humble person. Despite her many achievements and accomplishments, she remained someone humble. She always tells me she is very concerned that she might become proud and she's always reminding herself to be a humble person.

But she exudes a subtle influence. Because she is the top student in nursing this cohort and because of her spirit of excellence and confidence, she stands out from the rest. I may be biased, but who cares. I really feel so proud of her because it's obvious that she is not only academically excellent, everyone around her likes her very much. Her parents literally shone with pride. Haha.. and some teachers walked by and looked at me, looked at estee and looked at me again. She must be wondering, how come estee's sister doesn't look like her.. hahaha...

Well, jia you estee! Continue to shine for the Lord! You're definitely making a big difference in the place that you are at. Shine forth with Jesus! : )
