Mysteries of Déjà vu

My heart was filled with expectancy as I approached Expo today for the service. Pst Kong had been talking about the message he was preparing to share this weekend, and he promised it’d be a message that will transform our lives and take us to the next level.

Pastor preached about what Déjà vu really is today. Déjà vu has always been linked to some superstitious connotations in my understanding. When we tell ourselves that “hey, I seem to have seen this scene before.. this person was saying this, then the other person reacted exactly the way I’ve seen before!” And many a times, we have vague impressions that we have dreamt about this particular setting & scene before, that’s why it’s so familiar. Non-Christians call it flashbacks of scenes in their past lives, or intuition. Today, I finally know what déjà vu really is.

We sometimes experience déjà vu as if the same thing or conversation has taken place before because they already existed in the mind of God. Truly, under the sun, there is no new thing. Everything we see and experience today has already taken place. Not in another time zone or dimension. But in the imagination and the mind of God.

The powerful thing is the Holy Spirit sometimes allows us to experience déjà vu because it gives us the assurance that we are living in the purpose of God and that we are on the right path that God has planned for us to have maximum prosperity & fulfillment. Wow! Powerful Truth!

In that case, nothing that I’d ever do will shock God or take Him by surprise. Because everything already existed in His mind way before time.

Another powerful and mind-blowing truth that Pastor shared about today was about how TIME is a actually a ‘period’ or ‘break’ placed in ETERNITY by God. Take a moment to take in that.

In the realm of eternity, God decided that He needs to insert this period of time called ‘History of mankind’ so that He can do what He wants to do with us. And after the time ends, what happens? Naturally, we go back to eternity! Wow again. We’re called to rule & reign as kings together with Jesus Christ in eternity.

The next time I experience déjà vu again, I will stop to ponder and savour the moment because it meant that I had just caught a glimpse of the imagination of my Creator God.
