I used to think that during CG meetings, only members whom I lay hands on really get ministered by the Word of God, and that those who didn't get laid hands on are either doing real fine in life, or are just not that open to God.

But I just realised that this is such a wrong thinking. And very over-religious as well.

After the CG meeting on thurs, I got to know about 2 members who got ministered by God directly. Didn't lay hands on them at all, but God spoke directly to them during the meeting itself. And their hearts were so freed-up by the end of the CG meeting that they didn't need any more laying on of hands.

Both came with a heavy laden heart because of issues happening in their lives. One felt the peace and assurance of God during the CG meeting and suddenly could see everything in perspective. Her cloudy mind was cleared all of a sudden and God reminded her that the most important thing is that she still has God. Inspite of anything else that's happening in her life.

For the other one, God spoke to her about her attitude and mindset towards her work. And God restored joy into her heart.

And all the restoration and refreshing took place without the laying on of hands.

I am definitely not denying the power of laying on of hands. In fact, there is great anointing and transfer of the spirit through the laying on of hands. But the truth is we can all receive directly from God. An atmosphere filled with the presence of God is itself the most powerful vehicle and avenue for God to move.

God uses prophets and ministers to speak into our lives. But do not forget that we have a direct link to God ourselves. He can speak right into our hearts without using someone else. But the important thing is that we got to have a very open heart for God to work. And an open heart is often what is missing or lacking when we are walking through the valleys.

We need to have a relationship with God and hear from Him often. Not only pastors or leaders have the privilege. Every single one of us has it.
