“Happy 125th Birthday, Coca-Cola!”
Hubby & I were invited to attend Coca-Cola’s 125th birthday bash a few days ago. The cocktail party was held at MONU and the invitation card stated that dress code was Coke Red. Of course, it was the most apt dress code for the occasion, but the problem was I only realised it the day of the party! It was nothing short of a miracle that I went to my wardrobe and managed to find a red dress that I’ve never worn before!
My amazingly suave hubby who went in black with red tie.
We were excited about the bash because we are both mega fans of Coca-Cola! It’s a drink that’s accompanied me through my growing-up years.
A montage wall was erected for guests to take photographs. It was a really pretty mural I must say – Colourful and vibrant, just like the brand. =)
Our souvenir for the evening. =D My hubby was the one doing all the poses and I was just… standing there. Haha!
Needless to say, the whole place was done up in red. The ambience was relaxed and happy. Everyone was just standing around chit-chatting and munching on little cocktail finger foods.
The place was also like a mini exhibition, showcasing exhibits that were specially flown in from overseas. We saw many Coca-Cola paraphernalia and merchandises, pretty interesting.
There were also many different standees for photo-taking…
And I couldn’t resist… =P
The star of the night is of course our favourite drink – Coca Cola!
The finger foods served were really nice. The servers were also very hardworking – They kept bringing the trays to us and encouraging us to eat!
There was also a counter for cocktails, and we tried the 125 Special concoction cocktail. Really nice!
Of course, what’s a birthday bash without the Happy birthday song & birthday cake? The senior management also shared with the guests the history about Coca-Cola (Very insightful and interesting, by the way), and how it became the international brand of today.
To commemorate this special occasion, SingPost collaborated with Coca-Cola to release a limited edition stamp collection set, and we were privileged to receive a set of stamps each. Very nice.
We also received a really pretty collectors’ box of limited-edition coke bottles. So nice!!!
Met many of the bloggers I got to know through omy there as well, and we took a group photo together. Really happy to meet them as it’s been quite a while since we last met.
Thank you Coca-Cola! We had an awesome time. =D
