Bad things happen all @ same time
Do you sometimes feel that way? That when one bad thing happens, another one will follow, then another one, then another one... ? It seems that bad things always like to happen at the same time and not in isolation of each other.
I get that kind of feeling sometimes. This is what people call the 'valley season', isn't it? And when people are in this season, they feel the whole world is crushing down on them. It seems that nothing is ever going to be right again. It feels like everyone has abandoned you and God has put you in a place to be tested & tried from left, right centre, up & down. It's easy to feel like giving up at this point. At least, it requires less effort than trying hard to get out of it.
But I like what Pst Ulf shared. He's got that fire in his bones! He said.. 'so what if you are in a valley?? Are you going to go.. 'boo hoo... i'm in the valley...'??? WALK THROUGH IT & GET OUT OF YOUR VALLEY!!!!!!!!"
wow.... It takes character to be able to stand strong and firm in the midst of a swimming pool of problems. It digs deeper than the surface into the person's foundation of faith in God to be able to say something like that. Many a times, we will all choose to wallow in self-pity isn't it?? We will choose to say it's too difficult, I can't do it, and this is probably not what God wants me to do. Isn't it??
Yet, what it takes is a man or woman with the courage and boldness to say that they are willing to pay the price & work harder just to see the breakthrough come. Without a true hunger, a breakthrough will never come. Never.
Breakthroughs are sweet after we've been through a whole lot of mess in the valleys. It does not mean we crave for the hardship just to be able to enjoy the sweetness after that. It is just a process in life that makes life itself so interesting. This sweetness is that something we can look forward to when we are caught in the valleys.
Do you feel that you are in the valleys now?? Make the decision to be bold & strong & say to the adversities - "You shall not get me down! My God is great & He can bring me out of this victoriously!"
