Let Go & You'll See Clearer

It's human nature to always hold on tight to something. Holding on makes us feel secure because we know at least there is something in our hands. There is a certain fear associated with letting go. Because when we let go, we are essentially giving up control over that something in our lives. And we all know the feeling of losing control. It freaks us out when we don't exactly know where we are heading. It scares us because we know we no longer have the right over that thing.

It takes alot of courage to let go of something. Especially so if we have been holding on to that something for very long. But there is a danger when we keep holding on without exactly knowing why we do that. Is it because we have gotten so used to the fact that we possess it? Or is it because we are not sure how we can cope without it in our lives anymore, simply because it has become such a comfortable part of our lives?

You'll be surprised how much clearer you can see when you choose to let go.

In the midst of it, we can't see that clearly. Because we are constantly dealing with what's happening. And sometimes when we can't see clear enough, out reflex tells us to grab and cling on even tighter which makes it even harder to see and breathe properly. So you see, it's a vicious cycle.

Letting go is painful. And 99% of the time, we don't want to. But it gives us a better perspective of things sometimes. And a clear perspective is often the most important ingredient in finding a breakthrough out of a situation. When we insist on holding on tightly to something that may have gone rotten, we will never figure out why certain things are like that.

Letting go is not passive. It's a vast difference from giving up something that has gone wrong. Letting go is done with grace and confidence. It is not a last resort. It is an understanding that possessing may not mean anything at all.

I never thought letting go is easy. Abraham had to make a decision within his heart to let go of Isaac before God provided the ram. David had to let go of Saul before God can intervene on his behalf and make him king. The boy with the 5 loaves & 2 fish had to let go of them before Jesus could feed the five thousand. Is letting go easy? Never had been, never is and never will be. Yet time and again, we saw how God always come through. Without fail.

Perhaps you're thinking of letting go of something today but you are hesitating because you do not know whether you will be left with nothing once you let it go. Take that step of faith. Maybe a miracle will happen. Maybe a solution will pop up right infront of your face. Maybe you will find the strength to pick it up again but this time with greater conviction and faith. Letting go is releasing you from shouldering the burden not meant for you. Letting go injects a freshness into your life like never before. Letting go definitely lets you see clearer than before.

Let go and let God take over.
